I've enjoyed my short history with cars so far. My first car was an '86 Volkswagen Jetta GLI. My uncle was good enough to give me this car and I just had to fix it to work. There was an incident and it ended up submerged in a creek, and so I never got to do all I planned to that car. After that I got a '80 Camaro. It was the biggest piece of shit, but I loved it. I nicknamed it "The Bondo Bandit". Fast forward a bit and I got a '99 Camaro and actually was starting to make a little money at the time which allowed me to modify it. I did pretty much every bolt-on you could and took it to the quarter-mile tracks a few times to race. 182k miles later I sold it. Now my fun car is back to being a Volkswagen. Though I loved the Jetta I always wanted a MK2 GTI so I bought an '86 GTI for $800 and have been very slowly fixing it up since. Recently it passed inspection which allowed me to actually put the title in my name since it was a California car. I'll update this page as I make changes to the car. Right now I'm disassembling a lot of it so that I can get it painted.
